Taking cats to France

I’m worried. We have everything in line with jabs and certificates but I’m stressing over how they will be on the journey and moving to a new home. They are 14 and known to have UTIs.

What else can I do to make it easier? They’ll have feliway on tap, the more “stressy” one will have a sedative prescribed from the vet. I’ve got carry cases that open out on the back seat. We have a pet friendly cabin for the ferry.

They’ll be fine. I moved 4 including a 16 year old several years ago to Spain which is further, and they were quite calm for the entire 2 day journey. No sedatives required. I did use a pet transporter though as I would have been too stressed to drive them myself!

Hi, have you considered animal communication? I have talked to cats about moving before (including a new one we expected). In this way they are being informed and prepared and are given a voice, a chance to express any particular needs or wants.
I realise this sounds unconventional but it works.
