How much to pay a 14 year old for feeding my cat

I'm going on holiday for 9 nights from Xmas Day and my friend's son is going to visit our house twice/day to feed the cat, let it out during the day and back in at night. He'll leave dry food down and put fresh water down. The cat is likely to go to the toilet outside but he might need to clean the litter tray once, and also check for accidents on the kitchen floor and clean that (but hopefully that won't happen).

How much should I pay him? He'll walk to our house (10 minutes) and spend no more than 5-10 minutes feeding/cleaning - twice each day.

Thank you for your suggestions :)

I do this for a living and charge £8 for a 15 minute visit. I don't work over Christmas but if I did, it would be double for the 24th, 25th, 26th, 31st and 1st.

Isn’t minimum wage around £6 for teens? I’d pay an hour for each visit so twice a day, £12 in normal circumstances. Up it to £15 a day considering it’s over Christmas.

You won’t get any professional to do it for less than £20.

I would check the terms of my house insurance though before I let a teen lock my house up twice a day.

Professional company is £18 for two visits where I am, and they are very good! Includes insurance, petrol etc

I would pay a teen, without insurance petrol costs, £10 max. £20 is bonkers imo

My 15 year old would not even see it as "work" and would willingly spend all day with the cat 🤣
