Hey i bought a GORGEOUS black labrador puppy last night, what shall i call him???

Be very firm about the puppy biting. Say no firmly and turn your back or squeal in a high pitched voice and then ignore. Turn your back and don't make eye contact if they jump up.

Find a good puppy training class they are very useful for socialisation.

Give lots of chews to prevent damage to your property.

Try puppy training pads they are great for house training.

You really should have researched about the puppy care before you got the puppy but a bit late now.

make sure he is well socialised, one of the most important parts of rearing a puppy.

and get him neutered when he is about 6 months old.

Most vets have vaccines now where the first one can be given at 6wks but the second not before 10 wks.quite often you can then go to puppy socialistaion with first vacc on board.

from behaviour point of view is better to neuter at 10-12mths as a bit more mature in relation to behaviour with other dogs then.

make sure worm every 2 wks until 12 wks then every month forever if in contact with children under 10.
