Ianto (pronounced Yanto after him in Torchwood).

purpleduck · 15/04/2008 00:25

My sister, when she couldn't decide what to name her lovely siamese just went to her cupboard and named him after the first thing she saw.
His name was "Maxwell House Instant Coffee"

Luckily that translated quite well into MAX.

I vote for Marmaduke

berrieb · 15/04/2008 00:29

I like wotsit. I once had a cat called oi.

zippitippitoes · 15/04/2008 00:31

tiptoes

zippitippitoes · 15/04/2008 00:32

the ladybird book tiptoes the mischievous kitten is one of my all time favourite books lol

luvaduck · 15/04/2008 01:13

Linus

WendyWeber · 15/04/2008 01:20

Ron (as in Weasley)

WendyWeber · 15/04/2008 01:23

Simply (Red)
Hucknall (or even Mick)
Harry

...can't think of any more!

alipiggie · 15/04/2008 03:42

Another vote for Marmaduke / Milo

ninedragons · 15/04/2008 05:01

V. impressed at your child's grasp of the influence of MN.

Our male ginger tabby is called Yoda.

Next cat is going to be called Dave.

UnderRated · 15/04/2008 05:17

I was going to suggest Dave. I think it's a great Cat name.

Or, a ginger cat should be Orlando, as already mentioned.

HereComeTheGirls · 15/04/2008 07:17

Claude (think about it)

BouncingTurtle · 15/04/2008 07:27

I new a ginger tabby called Stripey - thought it was a great name.

How about Tango? I like Marmalade too.
I have a brown tabby called Bart and he used to have a sister called Sabre. I didn't name them, that was the names they had when I adopted them.

BouncingTurtle · 15/04/2008 07:27

knew

My 10 yr old DS (who is crazy for wrestling) thinks Triple H - or Triple for short. He has just had a look at all the wrestlers and suspects that Triple H is a ginger who dyes his hair light brown Apparantly Triple H is the 11 time World Wrestling Champion - no it goes right over my head as well.

So from sunny Bolton our suggestion is Triple H

137wallis · 15/04/2008 09:11

Thanks girls, I will run them past him, any more suggestions very welcome!
he's currently out in the garden climbing trees! (my ds not the kitten!)
the kitten was a surprise arrival from our other cat Fifi, (flipin kids telly!) we have rehomed his brothers, so it will be just him and his mum! hes only 5.5 weeks at the moment and a real cutie!

nailpolish · 15/04/2008 09:14

dh has suggested Dave, Steve or Keith

Heifer · 15/04/2008 09:30

MY ginger cat was called Henry

our black and white cat was called Snowy.... (It was all white when it was a kitchen, then the black spots just appeared and grew and grew)...

I like Duke, Jasper and Alfie...

PersephoneSnape · 15/04/2008 10:36

hobbes!

( i like marmaduke as well though!)

MaryAnnSingleton · 15/04/2008 11:03

Orlando - after the marmalade cat
or Chivers as in the marmalade
or
Shreddie - from Golden Shred
Pickles - as in Ginger and...

purpleduck · 17/04/2008 13:31

SO...
What did you choose?

Jojay · 17/04/2008 13:33

Has to be Orlando

wilbur · 17/04/2008 13:42

Pumpkin

or steal from that celeb whose name escapes me and call it Agent Orange.
