Hi I've posted before but I'm at my wits end now!
We had our lovely cat out down 2 months ago and then shortly after we started getting bitten by the evil jumping critters.
We have no other pets in the house, I got.some flea.powder and used that to little effect.
After recommendation I got indorex spray and sprayed the whole house, under beds, sofas, etc and hoovered every single day, throwing away the hoover bag and rinsing inside the hoover with boiling water.
This first time I stripped all the beds and any clothing, blankets that were not in drawers or cupboards I bagged up and left in the back garden and started to wash everything at 60 degrees.
I change our beds twice a week and wash at 60 degrees.
3 weeks later, more fleas, a few, bought more spray and sprayed everywhere again. 2 days later, I sprayed everywhere again.
Now we are 6 weeks on and I was bitten again yesterday. I've walked through the house with white socks and within 2 minutes I have 8 fleas on my socks.
What else can I do? Are they just the eggs from the beginning hatching? Has anyone else had this continued problem? The indorex website says you can see adults for 2 months after first spraying.
I've so had enough!!

No experience but just wanted to offer and hand hold.

I once had fleas in my house and I had to get the council exterminator in the end as I nearly killed myself with the spray. £60 and done. Never seen another one of the little buggers since.

Have you tried one of those 'fogger' things? - they are supposed to be able to reach places you wouldn't spray.
(just be very careful if you have fish or if it could get through a wall into a next door house etc (couldn't do it in my flat as I can smell people's cigarette smoke with the windows shut sometimes - hence a crack somewhere)

We had this one summer shortly after we moved into our new house. The previous owners had had a dog.

We tried traditional flea spray and I even got some stuff from the vets to spray the carpets with. Went away for a weekend and when I walked back into the house I was suddenly covered in fleas. It was awful!

We called a professional pest controller in and he treated the whole house. I stayed at my parent's for two nights to let things settle down but the guy said we'd have been fine staying in the house.

As I had a two year old at the time I didn't want to risk it. It wasn't expensive and we've never had a problem since. He said no amount of flea spray that you buy in a can would have got rid of them.
