Hi

Thinking of getting a kitten however I don,t want to be shelling out a fortune buying it, then getting all its innoculations, and having it speyed etc.
Does anybody know where I can go for a fair price where this is all done.

Can't help you apart from trying friends, etc. I just wanted to say that you do need to spend a reasonable amount of money to keep a cat - if you keep the injections up, have yearly health checks, decent food for them, etc. You may be eligible for Blue Cross or RSPCA treatment, but if not, vet bills can be expensive, and so on.

Not trying to put you off, but if you budget for if now it won't come as a big surprise later.

Our kitten was from a rescue centre. They paid for neutering, innoculations, microchipping and six weeks insurance. They don't charge but are grateful for a donation.
Depends I suppose on what sort of kitten you want, ours is just an adorable moggy!

I am a bit concerned that you are worrying about the costs of a kitten before you even have one. Think hard if this is the right thing for you and any potential kitten.

Try you're local rescues and SPCA. You'll also really need to get 2 cats. It's not really fair to keep 1 cat on his/her own.

i dont hink tis an UNFAIR price before tbh
what if tis ill
can oyu afford vets fees then?

clayre · 04/04/2008 18:39

it depends on what age of kitten you want, we got ours at 8 weeks from the cats protection and we had to pay to her inncoulations cos she had to have them at 12 weeks and we payed to get her neutered cos she was 6 months, when you get the kitten they are your responsibilty.

Am totally with Cod on this-if you are not willing to pay a decent price for the very basic cat care such as innoculations and spaying-what on earth will you do if it gets sick and needs to go to the vet.

Goldfish are cheaper.....
