If you are using a homeopathic remedy, it suggests that he no longer has asthma at all.

I wouldn't have thought so to be honest. I have very mild asthma and although day to day I am fine around my 2 cats .. if they sit on me for any length of time or if we dont hoover constantly they make me wheeze really badly.

I am asthmatic and have found a few crucial things keep me symptom free and drug free - no carpets [wood floors throughout I'm afraid] dust mite mattress covers on beds and pillows, and no animals, particularly cats. Which is a shame because i love cats, and my ds wants one. But cats make my asthma pretty bad.

depends on the person with asthma tbh, not all asthmatic reacts to cats but it is a comman trigger. dd1 reacts badly with wheezing when around cats, dd2 gets an attack of the snots. dd3 not asthmatic, adores cats, and plays with SGK cats at her place but sometimes comes up in nettle rash if playing too long.

My DS has asthma and can go for months without an attack. Then out of the blue BOOM - Hosp etc.

Not having an attack snce Nov does not mean the Homeopath is working.

DS has been given a conventional drug - Singulair - and I will not say it is deffo working until a year has gone by and even then I will be cautious.

I am not opposed to homeopathy, indeed I have used it on DS but just thought I should warn you.

Having an asthmatic brother and seeing what total misery he endured when he came into contact with cats, or was in a house in which a cat lived, there is no way I would get a cat with an asthmatic I the house, I'm afraid.

And I am allergic to cats. IME hoovering makes v little difference because it is things like the proteins from thier saliva that causes the reaction, so even if hairs get hoovered up the proteins are still there - and can last a long time.
