PDSA free pet care

Hi all! I unfortunately have to take my cat to the vets tomorrow for a severe UTI. I am registered for free care for one animal under them. They've requested I bring him in for 10:10AM tomorrow morning.
I know I am registered for the free care.. but I am panicking that once I am there they will demand something for him to be seen.
I am more than happy to make a donation to the pet hospital I am going to.. but it will have to be after I am paid at the end of the month.
I only have enough in the bank to cover the cost of the taxi there and back tomorrow.
Do they expect donations up front ?? Or will his treatment // medication actually be free ??
Thanks in advance.

You need to phone them to ask, my friend is registered with pdsa and just had to pay £120 to have her pet put to sleep.

As far as I'm aware pdsa isn't a donation anymore it's a charge which is a lot cheaper than a vet
I'd phone them to find out how much you are expecting to pay
And get pet insurance it's a must if you have an animal

Thank you! I ended up calling. I have free care which they confirmed.. so they said they won't charge me £20 for the appointment that they usually charge.. but they do ask for a contribution of £20 after the appointment which I will be doing.
