It's a 2ft tank and we are moving 2 hours away.

How do I do it without killing my fish???

We moved a marine fish tank once, well what we had to do was to move the fish to another tank (our fish supplier let us use one of theirs temorarily), empty the tank, move the tank, set the tank up in the new house and then move the fish, the shop was only about 10 mins away so it was a pain but we could manage, not sure how you would cope with a 2 hour drive though.

I've bought fish from a 90min drive away before. The shop bagged the fish up and then put the bags in polystyrene boxes. I think if you bag and box the fish up they would be ok.

Empty the tank, but if you have other watertight containers that you could take more tank water in then do this as well. The more tank water ratehr than fresh tap water they can be put in the better.

Dismantle everything at the last moment. Put the fish in bags/containers and insulate. Take as much tank water as is possible, plus the filters/sponges to re-establish the tank again in it's new home. The tank itself will have to be pretty empty I guess as just the glass will be heavy enough (remembering when we collected ours...), but maybe leave the sand or gravel etc in as that will contain bacteria too.
As far as the fish are concerned - in their own tank water, if the water has enough surface area for oxygenation, and temperature is maintained broadly speaking then I would imagine they will be ok.
What sort of fish are they? Nothing too delicate like Discus I hope?!

Hmm - make sure you some whitespot treatment available if the loach you speak of means Clown Loach. Can be prone to that in times of stress! But will need half dose as they are scaleless.
