Complete novice thinking of getting a rabbit or guinea pig

As the title says, I'm a bit clueless about pets, so wondered if a)you could recommend any sites/books and b)what the likely expenses are - how many jabs/vet visits etc are likely, how much weekly food bill etc is.

Yeah- a terripig, it would be grate. like a kind of yorkshire terrier.
Kids wouldn't know any different.
Just put it on a lead, give it a little bed.

Throw sticks for it .
Slow, but charming.

We saw a family with a ferret on a lead on Scarborough beach once.
That looked liked a long thin doggy thing too.
