we have the cat since august last year and my sone absolutely adores her, my 2 year old loves her too but can be a little heavy handed and so the cat normally avoids her

however this morning i the cat had got stuck in the wires behind the telly and my daughter unfortuntely decided to pull her out by her paw!!! i stopped her as soon as i saw her the cat miouwed at her and walked off, obv i told her off (dd that is) and made sure she knew why it was naughty etc

now i have just seen the cat limping and her little leg looks a little swollen i feel soooo bad she isn;t crying and doesn;t mind you touching it but can't seem to put a lot of weight on it

i have made a vets appt but the earliest i can get in is this afternoon at 4, what do i tell the vet, how do i claim on my pet insurance and how much is it likely to cost me???

yur kitten may have just pulled a muscle and at worst possibly a dislocation. just say what happened as it was not intentional whay yuor toddler did. to be honest i doubt you will pay over £50 as she mya just need antiflammitary pills ot reduce swelling and not worth all the paper work just to claim. anyway most insurance companies yu have to pay at least £50 - £75 and you claim on the surplus.

yes i think i do remember the excess being £50

thanks i hope you are right and it's just something not too bad had just put dd down for a ap before i saw the cat limping will be showig her what she has done and giving her a good talking to after this the little madam!!

do not be too hard on her, just praise her when she is gentle with the kitty. just explain that the kitty is like a little baby and very fragile etc i have this already with my 11 month old who loves to pat the cats like they are the boxer dogs! notice the difference in fragility??
i think it is good to have babies/kids with animals as they learn to respect and enjoy animals rather than dislike/fearing them.
