Dog sitting

Hi. What would you expect to be charged to have your two dogs and one cat looked after in their own home over Christmas. Starting early on 22nd and completing on late afternoon of 26th. So early morning walk, long afternoon walk and 10pm wee walk! Dogs can be left about 3hrs on their own so this will be quite tricky over Xmas eve, day and Boxing Day but is doable. How much would the rates be for this please. Has anyone had a quote for this? TIA x

No idea but a lot given that I would have thought getting anyone professionally to dog sit in your home over Christmas will be hard to find.

Are you looking for a professional or have a friend/relative in mind and want to work out what to offer?

I do dog sitting, for this I would charge £300. The 25th and 26th would be double rates.

Hi so £300 all in for 4 nights/5 days including Xmas eve, Xmas day and Boxing Day?

Hi Beau, yes £45 a day and double rates for 25th and 26th. =£315 to be exact

My rates would be:

£50 per night to include an hour of exercise. Any other walks would be charged extra - £17 per hour for two dogs, or £10 for half hours.

Double time for everything on the two bank holidays.

So £50 each for the 22nd, 23rd and 24th. £100 each for the 25th and 26th.

So, £350 at the absolute minimum, plus the extra for your additional walks.

My dd dogs sits andnhs just turned a couple of jobs down as they expected to pay her normal rates. It's a big ask over Xmas and has to be worth while.
