Dog worms and children

We brought a puppy this weekend, he is adorable but still in those early days when he has the occasional poo on the carpet.

I clean up the poo straight away, but my worry is that my baby is still crawling could it be harmful to him if there are still traces of poo on the carpet??

The breeder we brought him off said he has been wormed and we are obviously going to keep up the worming.

Can anyone reassure me that ds will be ok? Know this is really probably a stupid question but am new to this puppy lark!!

A bit of a shock, puppies, arent they?

What breed is it?

If he is regularly wormed and you clean up straight away and thoroughly, it should be ok for your lo.

Providing you are regularly worming your puppy (you need to speak to your vet to find out how often you should be doing this, it can be as often as every 2 weeks depending on age of puppy) then everything should be fine. Presumably you are cleaning up any accidents thoroughly.

Yes it is a bit of a shock! Dh gets a bit stressed with 2 boys and now a little pup running around everywhere! I am getting really attached to him, took him for a walk today round my dads land and after dragging him a little way he kept up and loved it. Was really proud of him.
He is a jack russell.

Getting stressed with a pup and dc is my job in this house. Dp couldnt care less!
Ours are big dogs and they knock dds over when charging about, one is 6 the other just 1(thats the dogs!) Dds dont care though, they just squeal louder!

My dc are dog-a-holics!

Are you going to take the pup to training classes? I recommend it.

Big dogs sound good too, but thought we would start off small. Would love to take him dog training, if we can afford it that is!

The classes i took our youngest dog to last year cost us £50 for 9weeks i think.

Another class i still go to, is £4.50 p/1hour session.

What did you call him?
