Cat castration [shock] any advice?!

My two male cats are being "done" on Saturday (11 mnths old & big) Both my dogs were quite spaced out & wobbly after they were done but basically stayed in their beds & 24 hours later were fine, if a bit subdued ( naturally) for a few days. I have a big cage we can use.

Just wondered if anyone with cats had any tips on this?

Thanks!

Thanks Lou!

2 very cross, very hungry moggies deposited at vets voicing their opinions of the disruption to normal 5 star service!

Felt so mean!!

actually i just called hte vet and they said i couldlet him out now, because i just found him trying to open a window with his paw in desperation, and when that didnt work he was trying to leap at it to barge it open

Well I don't know what I worried about!! They were out having a cat fight at 5.30 am- and won by the sounds of it-by the time I shot out of bed they were sauntering in looking very smug!

Then came in stuffed their faces (again) & now sleeping in the dogs bed, streched out with pooch under the table wiuth a resigned look on his face!

I am quite concerned as I took my Stoofer to the vet at 5pm tonight to be kept overnight to make sure he didn't have any thing to eat before his op tomorrow morning. He had something to eat at 4.30pm and I told the veterinary nurse this. She said they would do blood tests before the op in the morning and if everything was ok they would operate on him and to come and get him at 2pm.
at 5.30 tonight I got a phone call to tell me he had had blood tests and they had castrated him as well, they told me they would keep him overnight and to collect him in the morning.
I was gobsmacked as I'm sure they are not supposed to have any thing to eat for 8 hours are they?
She assured me he was fine but it's now 10.30pm and I'm sitting here very worried - did they castrate the wrong cat or phone the wrong client? any ideas anybody?
