Travelling with labrador....

Hi we have just booked a few nights in Devon in a couple weeks time as for obvious reasons have delayed the planned holiday abroad until next year. Rather than home boarding our lab as we were going to if travelling abroad due to dog passport sounding like more hassle than it's worth we are taking him with us. Have looked into what we can and can't do with him there. One of us adults will be with him at all times. Now here is my question and it may sound daft. I have an suv so know I can fit in what we need as only need one case for 4 nights but how do I make sure it won't move about in the boot and hurt my lab. I can see two isofix points on the back of the seats and on near where the boot opens is two things I can clip something too. It's a mazda cx5. What can I use to make sure the case is secure. Looked into cargo netting but the two tether points on seat backs are higher than ones the otherside so it does not hold things down well. Ideas much appreciated.

Bungy cord and hook things to either the dog guard or the tether points.
Ours have always been very good at travelling in full cars. You can get dog guards that divide the boot in half.

Thanks that's what I was thinking. Bungee cords round the case if I put it on its side to the tether poins on back of seat. Just wanted to make sure no better way as would hate for the dog to get hurt.

If you have a spare seat buy a dog car harness, safest way to travel

You can probably buy a boot divider (Travall or Amazon) which allows you to separate an area for your dog . Travall are good, but you can also get some generic ones which do the job for less money. Or check Gumtree.
