making my daft kitchen kitten-friendly

I have a few stupidly designed bits of the kitchen that I can't work out how to kitten-proof safely. My fridge freezer cupboard has no top and goes nearly to the ceiling, but not quite, and it has no top, so I'm worried she could end up stuck behind with no way for either of us to get her out!

The boiler cupboard is the same. Although she would find it tricky to get up that high, if she did get up there, it's possible she could then squeeze down into a sealed in pipe box which would be a nightmare.

And last stupidly designed feature is a kitten sized gap in the skirting under the sink which leads to some dusty manky area under the kitchen cupboards and again holes for pipes going who knows where else.

Is there a way to make these safe enough for a kitten without having to get a handyman?

And here she is, longingly dreaming of access to the kitchen.

Cardboard and duck tape, we had the same issue!

Thank you so much - cardboard I can manage!
I'm probably being over the top imagining an Escape from Alcatraz situation when I'm at work. Simple cardboard barrier sounds good.

I'd recommend using hardboard rather than cardboard (more kitten proof).

Very cute kitten btw Grin.

Thank you. Hardboard, oh dear, that's straying into proper DIY / get a handyman in territory. Better safe than sorry tho...
