Help me with dog's haircut. Please!

Hello. Gracie (bichon friar, Tibetan spaniel cross) will soon be needing a hair cut. I have Wahl clippers and blunt tipped scissors.
Please give me advice and tips. I've looked on you tube, but all those dogs are very willing. How on earth do you keep them still?

Have you got anyone else in the house to hold her down? If not I'd be inclined to just leave her unclipped until you can get back to your groomer.

No advice other than I saw a post from a dog groomer saying please do not clip your dogs unless you know what you're doing you could really hurt them. Just do a gentle trim of the worst bits with scissors.

Start by running the clippers near the dog whist brushing their boat for a few days to get them used to the clippers?
