she's about 9 months and stuck as a stuck thing. beyond our reach - even with a ladder....and it's nearly half past midnight.

Can you get the hose to her, I know it sounds awful.

If not, can you throw stuff at her, teddies, clothes, pegs, anything really.

I saw your name and had to look. It could have been worse if the firearms were to hand!

well we went to bed and had a fitful night's sleep. at 6 am I got up to see if things looked any different in daylight. they didn;t really. she was in a garden behind ours leaving us the choice of either bunking over our wall or walking round the block. so I walked round, tried to persuade her down and didn;t have any luck so came back to bed - at least reassured that she was ok. at 8 am we all got up and went round to see her again. we put a cat box in the crook of two branches, with some washing line tied round it - dh's idea that she might be persuaded in to the box and then we could lower her down. needless to say she ran away towards the end of the branch and got herself in a right pickle. so we decided the only way was to procure a longer ladder. so, back home to find a long ladder...then a sudden crash - she'd got in the box and it had fallen a couple of metres. she looked very cute poking her head out of the box, on its end. we could reach the box then, and down she came.

she's having poached chicken breast for breakfast - I just hope she's not clever enough to posit that this might happen every time she gets stuck in a tree! poor thing was there at least 12 hours - possibly 24! I wonder if she slept at all. she's playing now so clearly not too traumatized.

oh yes - we tried lobbing things near her - apples mainly as it was an apple tree - that scared her in the wrong direction - further towards the end of the bracnh.
