Hi, Just wondered if anyone has experience of this?
We have a 3yr old Bengal male cat and he is massive and very muscular and although he has been "done" he is still the boss of the neighbourhood.
A neighbour down the road has a queen cat who is about to give birth anyday and she has asked me if i can take a kitten as otherwise she will have no homes for all of them.
Half of me is tempted as maybe it would be company for my Bengal cat BUT on the other hand i'm worried that he may rip it apart as he has been known to bring full grown rabbits home and eat them whole...NO KIDDING.
I would definately NOT get another male but maybe a female or would you just advise against getting any other cats.

In the only experience I had it was the kitten who very quickly became the boss cat - I had a 4 year old brother and sister pair, and rashly got a male kitten. He ruled the roost from very early on - so I guess, like children, its down to personality and it may work out fine.

I have a ruffy tuffy bengal cross - I would love another cat but I know he would hate it. He hates all other cats and has teh scars to prove it.

He loves me though

Cats usually sort it our between themselves... pretty much like dogs. It'll be fine after the settling in period

Well one of mys friends has two - one older cat and a kitten she got from the rescue center. It's fireworks every minute of the day and she is completely regretting getting another kitten. But saying that another friend of mine has three cats, one older (blind) Siamese, one calico and a Bengal female kitten. After a few battles the kitten and old Siamese tolerate each other, but the Calico remains outside and away from the kitten. I would check with your Bengali's breeder and see what they say!!!

i have a male cat who is very protective of his home and his family, but over the stage of a year we have added another 3 puddys to our family. My male cat hates it to start with and literally kicks the crap outta the kittys but after a week or so hes fine and ends up playing with them.(I think he admits defeat ).

our local rspca won't give you a kitten if you have an older cat but they will give you a cat over 12 months old. They say the kittens are too lively for the established cat to tolerate
