My Cat Has Just Come On The School Run With Me!!!!!

We live a 5 minute walk to the school maybe a bit less. Its down our road round the corner and through the park/fields.
She started following me meowing very loudly and I ignored her, usually makes her give up and not follow too far.
She decided it would be fun to come all the way to the school gates and sit there waiting for me where the dogs wait

Dd4 was over the moon and the cat walked all the way home with her

Peachy, that is incredible, what a hero!

When I was a child, my cat used to walk me to infant school. Never heard of another one doing this until today.

What breed are all these 'think I'm a dog' cats? Because I've heard Siamese are more likely to act like this.. and my childhood pet was half-Siamese (her pedigree mama, however, was Not Interested. Although she did use the door knocker in preference to the cat flap).

Ah, but there's something very lovely about a ginger moggy.

PMSL at the cat who was "usually a miserable bastard..."

I am allergic to cats, but least allergic to blacks ones. (And most allergic to tabby ones.) Any one else heard of this?

It's a shame because I love them. Tried to have one years ago but ended up on a ventolin nebuliser after 4 hours. The kitten, (Skitzo ) had to go and live with my friend immediately. She stills lives there thirteen years later

You could get one of those hairless cats?? Maybe not your cup of tea though??

shiny my friend is allergic to some cats but not all, however if you ended up on ventolin I'd probably get a rex or sphinx.

magnolia lol at the gender confused cat- our Lilly is indeed a he

D'ya reckon MP wills ee the cat story so i get in the round up at long last? No? thought not

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 06/07/2007 15:54

ewww.. hairless pussy... ...no thanks, not in these circumstanes

Peachy · 06/07/2007 15:56

LOL

a former neighbour used to breed devon rex's- now I like all cats but they were the far end of the spectrum for me. Plus they were not able to go outside ewhen it was vold so her house stank

bananabump · 06/07/2007 16:00

Whne I lived with my parents we had two dogs and three cats and they all used to come for a walk whether we liked it or not, one of them creeping through gardens and regularly ambushing us, and the other two mincing along ahead of the dogs. Silly moggies!

edam · 06/07/2007 16:03

Really, Peachy? Didn't realise Devon Rex had that problem. Thought they just had curly fur rather than very little of it?

Peachy · 06/07/2007 16:11

Not sure- tehre's something about their fur though thats OK, certainly she used to say they weren't allowed out so had to be kept inside when it was cold (she ahd a conservatory built especially). Now she was bonkers as they come mind, but she did know her stuff- was a show judge.

Wouldn't like to say whether bonkers or right tbh. We did, loking back, go for tea there and get given two unopened oxes of kipling cakes and a tray lol
