GN's dog is from the same breeder as ours and the only reason they chew is because like all intelligent dogs they get bored left at home alone. Ours is never left for more than 2-3 hours at a time in the day and only after a long walk. She is as laid back as they come and spends most of the afternoon asleep in the office (we work from home). To see what they look like try:
www.kimberlenes-labradoodles.co.uk. Ours is the daughter of Rosie - very cute

Would love a Labradoodle but for our garden a Jack-a-doodle would be more appropriate and equally gorgeous! Not that I can talk DH into a dog at all.

elastamum · 03/06/2007 21:16

We have a tiny garden - but it does have a very big wall round it!

Pollyanna · 03/06/2007 21:18

ds has been hankering after a labradoodle or a cockapoo for ages. I showed him this and he wants a spoodle now.

I would get him one, but I just can't deal with the poo

elastamum · 03/06/2007 21:21

It does add another dimension to the kids / school run thing. I now take the dog with me and walk for 1 1/2 hours every morning after dropping the kids off. Then i find that I am about 1 1/2 hours short of time to get everything done. However, it is also doing wonders for my thighs

Otter · 03/06/2007 21:45

yes scatter

i need to see cockapoo

Otter · 03/06/2007 21:53

scatter my step-mums poodle has had a litter of labradoodles she has one black boy left and has knocked the price right down now email me for more info if you want [email protected]

scatterbrain · 04/06/2007 17:48

Oh nutty - I am so tempted - but we are really not ready to have one quite yet ! Just about to move and the garden is not yet enclosed - so bit of work needed there - and I need to re-engineer my whole life to fit a doodle in ! Currently working full -time , in the office 4 days a week - and although dh ostensibly works from home he has spates of being out with clients for months on end !

I know that I can't have a doggy until one of us can mainly be at home to be with it - it's just not fair on the puppy !

Otherwise I'd be emailing you like a shot ! A little black boy doodle sounds fantastic !

I even dreamed of these fab dogs last night - they are fast becoming an obsession !

lunavix · 04/06/2007 19:47

a cockapoo sounds great too!
