Hey everyone,
Anyone have any suggestions for good antibiotics that I can give my 6year old cat?
I mean ones that are for animals, not the usual human ones.
TIA

You need to go to the vet. As far as I'm aware, antibiotics are prescription only, and your cat might have an intolerance to certain ones. Please go to the professionals.

Go to the vet.

Yeah I am going first thing in the morning. Problem is the vets are pretty far and I have class all morning but I took the day off. Thanks.

Get pet insurance if you don't have any already.

Depends on what it's for but Baytril or Septrin is what's usually prescribed but you need a prescription to buy it.

What's wrong with kitty:(?

Well the vet said I dealt with his abscess correctly and to keep a hot compress on it every few hours but it closed too early and sort of formed a blood boil or something and it popped today. I cleaned it and will be taking him to the vet in a few hours as they open late. He is much more relaxed now and in less pain than he was. But I need to confirm with the vet and make sure everything is fine.

Well done. Hope kitty is on the road to recovery.

Yes I hope so toooo.. I have been so stressed out about him. Its funny how it affects us so much when its our pet, I dont even worry this much over a human.. Confused

Took Kitty to the vet on Wednesday, the vet opened up his wound and drained, irrigated and cleaned it.. Poor fellow got stitches, and a bunch of antibiotics and anti inflammatory meds. Hes fine now, other than the fact that he can't keep the cone on for even 30seconds, so someone has to keep an eye on him 24/7. He is doing well.
Thanks for all the help. Smile
