Hi
I have an 18 mth old springer spaniel, and I love her to bits but her hair is driving me mad.
I brush her daily ,hoover 2-3 times a day and I am still finding it everywhere.
Is there anything I can do to slow her molting down?

i have a rottie and she moults for fun - it drives me mad!! i was told to add oil to her food - it didnt work! o send her to the groomers every 6-8 weeks for a really good wash/brush and this reduces the moulting for a couple of weeks and then its back to hoovering 2/3/4 times a day
if you get any really good tips on this please could you pass them on?
im not really sure if there is anything you can do!

I don't think there is, really. I have a Golden Retriever, and the moulting drives me mad too. The only thing I find that reduces it is regular grooming, by that, I mean taking him outside and doing it myself. I have a 'moulting rake' that I bought in Wilkinson. It's good for pulling out all the loose hair, then I give him a good going over with a normal dog brush. You can buy tonics in pet shops, and I think Wilkinson does one, that you add to their food and it's supposed to reduce the moulting. Don't know if they're any good though, haven't tried, cos I know I'll just forget to put it in the food.

i have just got a lab and she moults like mad get a pair of rubber gloves and give the dog a good scratch all over and then a brush the rubber gloves help get the hair underneith

I've also got a Labrador (a black one) but she doesn't moult as much as my Goldie. I think the yellow Labs are more prone to moulting than the other colours, or perhaps it's just that it's that much more noticeable.

I can't help on advice to stop the moulting but a damp car sponge wiped over hairy sofa etc will whisk the hairs away quickly and effectively if visitors are just about to arrive!
