cat flap question

We've got double glazed french windows. Is it possible to fit a cat flap into a double glazed unit?
At the moment the litter tray is is our open plan living room/dining room which is not great but its the only place it can go.
If I can get it outside so much the better but as we're not in every day cats need to be able to come and go.
Any advice

Yes. We have a double glazed door which we had a cat flap fitted into. Unfortunately, we had to pay quite a bit to have a glazier make us a new panel with a hole to fit the cat flap, and then fit it in our door, but the actual purchase of a cat flap and the fitting of the flap was totally straightforward (just make sure you buy one which is designed for double glazing.)

So yes it is possible, but you will need to pay a bit to have a new panel with a hole in it!

Have you tried one of the covered litter trays with a catflap? Its made a big difference in our house.

How expensive are we talking about??

We were given a cat tray with a box on top but the opening to it is just open. Can you get one that has a door or a flap?

yep about a tenner from argos!

The window panel cost us something in the region of £100.

But there was no way I was prepared to carry on with the litter tray, even a covered one. Perhaps you could rethink where the cat flap could go. How about in a low window?

All we have in the dining room is 2 french doors so if we do get a cat flap we'll have to use them. I agree about the litter tray it's so gross.
We've got family coming to stay this week-end and luckily the baby hasn't started crawling yet so the litter tray can stay where it is for the moment.
