I Am Going To Kill Her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry major rant coming up!!!!

We have 2 dogs maisie (staffie) and jesse (staffie X springer)

We have sectioned the garden off and at the back is a 6 fecking foot fence and gate but maisie has still managed to get out of the f*&king garden

Just had a phone call coz another dog walker took her to local vets and she is microchipped. I would say thank god but the way I am feeling I couldn't give a shit if I never see her again!!
This is the last straw, since being spayed she has turned into a puppy again overbight! Chewing everything, really bouncy and over the top. Jesse is the same but not jumping 6 foot fences!!!!! I have 4 kids and 31 weeks pg with #5! I really am getting to the stage where I don't want dogs anymore!

Ok now I don't actually mean that but you know what I mean

They are crate trained so I can minimise the chewing etc but the poor dogs are spending more time in the kitchen and less in the front room coz I just don't have the energy for them

RANT OVER!!!!

No advice but I can sympathise. My dog is driving me up the wall at the moment, barking constantly looking for attention. She is a rescue dog and very needy.

Dh has just gone to vets to pick her up! I feel so bad but I just know I will want to strangle her when I see her
And Jesse has huge muddy paws from getting into our part of the garden and digging a huge fecking hole

No Solution but maybe some more time out walking-not you obviously but are there any local dog walkers or maybe some teenagers who may do it for you?

cupsnakes · 23/10/2006 11:58

how long ago was she spayed?
our lab went backwards with his training after he was castrated. A month on he is starting to behave again.
understand your lack of energy - I am also 31 weeks pg and absolutely shattered. Luckily, dog is behaving well atm.

magnolia1 · 23/10/2006 13:31

Can't afford a dog walker, Dh is home quite a bit so they do get walks but we have had such a chaotic week and its so sad it transfers onto the dogs
Cupcakes, they were spayed 2 months ago so maybe their hormones are still all over? Vets say its not that but it probably is.

I think its just me feeling guilty that baby is not here yet and already they are not getting as much attention. Going on ebay now to buy some toys maisie hopefully won't destroy in 2 seconds flat. I would happily walk them but have spd and it hurts
Dh is super securing the garden again on Wednesday.

I love them really

get a cat instead

cupsnakes · 23/10/2006 13:42

it could be the spaying {sp??}
Pan started behaving really oddly after his op (6 weeks ago) - he started 'stealing' the children's toys and running to the end of the garden with him, up to 6 times a day. And then he started pooing on the lawn again (having successfully gone in his designated place for months).
It took at least a month for him to settle down and only in the past week has started going in the right place in the garden again.

magnolia1 · 23/10/2006 14:12

rantothehills: We have 2 cats as well

Cupcakes: That sounds like mine too, stealing clothing and hiding it in their beds etc... Oh well hopefully its short lived! If not their lives will be

watch ' its me or the dog' channel 4, tuesday 8pm. Then your doggies will seem like little angels !! LOL.

As she say's a well excersised dog is a happy one, and that includes training time, can you get tem to play fetch , so that you don't have to moe but tire them out ??? LOL

magnolia1 · 23/10/2006 20:45

Jesse loves fetch but maisie destroys the ball/toy as soon as she gets it

hey, magnolia, no advise but our dog is called jesse too.

(well jessie really but we all call her jesse)

WitchICouldGiveUpWork · 23/10/2006 21:54

Would it be worht contacting you rlocal RSPCA/Blue Cross/PDSA to see if there were any volunteer walkers available.Ia m sure if you explained the circumstances they would be sympathetic-you sould liek a lovely owner and just like someone they should be helping.

babe1 · 25/10/2006 18:51

Totally agree with Rachee about 'It's me or the dog'. Your own pooches really do seem like angels after watching that. I have a black lab (bitch) and a Golden Retriever (dog). Black lab has always been well behaved, if over excitable, but our Goldie used to be a demon chewer. He's chewed through the plaster on the kitchen walls more than once, as well as door frames. Oh, and the mattress on our bed. grin Thankfully he's better now, and just restricts himself to the odd magazine or soft toy. Wouldn't be without them though, would we? smile

magnolia1 · 25/10/2006 20:40

Well, dh is now not working until our baby is born so will be around to walk them more He has made the 1st garden gate higher and is re doing the end garden gate. But she is a very stubborn little sh*t and I am sure she will find a way
