Difference between Lily's Kitchen & Wainwrights?

So I have a Labrador and he's previously been in hospital with acute pancreatitus. We had been buying Royal Canine and James well beloved but he's not taken too them.

But he has to have a low fat diet and he has been a bit better since we put him on Grain Free Wainwrights. However, He was sick the other night and when he was on the previous Wainwrights he was fine for a while and then didn't take too it too well.

I've been hearing good things about Lily's Kitchen dry food low in fat and made withall natural and grain free.

Is there any difference between them really? I would change him if it's really good but don't know if it's worth it?
Any opinions ladies?

The only difference, I believe, is marketing. I don't think Lily's is particularly superior, if I'm honest. All of the decent quality pet foods (including the ones you've mentioned) will be made from good quality ingredients (and will also be 'all natural', they just don't choose to market it from this angle!)

Other decent brands I have experience with for pancreatitis would be Hills I/D, Purina EN and Specific CID which you should be able to order via your vet.

Sometimes it can take a little while to find one that's right for your pet, but be careful not to immediately change once he starts showing signs of not liking it - dogs aren't daft and can work out if they refuse something there might be the option of something better or different!

The vomiting could also be attributed to something other than food - maybe he ate too fast or he picked up a virus? Provided he's otherwise ok in himself and the vomiting stops, perhaps just give him a bit more time on it.

Always add any new diet in slowly too, or fear an episode of the notorious squitty bum!!

Hope that's helpful, I'm a veterinary nurse and could (sadly) talk about dog food all day!
