Help -is my cat hurt or sick?

Cat is very active, 5 year old and often goes out, sometimes over night but always checks in to eat or snooze.
Last Thursday she didn't come home and was missing until last night. We have a busy road to the front (I've never seen her go out there) and huge fields and forest to the back.
She obviously came in through the cat flap during the night and we were relieved to find her curled up in the bathroom this morning.
However, I'm getting worried that she is so lethargic. I just brought her downstairs to try to get her to drink/ eat but she just slowly walked into the living room and lay down on the rug. Her breathing seems fast and she's a bit wheezy.
Do you think I should give her another day to "recover" or should I be calling the vet?

Please take her to the vet. She could have been hit by a car or bike and have internal injuries, have ingested something poisonous, or all sorts of other things. Animals can't always let you know they need help, and can be very good at hiding how ill/hurt they are. Best case is the vet says she is just stressed by her extended "night on the tiles" (!) but please get her checked over.

We've given her a good check over to see if she's in pain anywhere and she doesn't seem to be but I hadn't thought of poisoning. She's (normally) very greedy so this is quite possible.
Vets is closed now so I'm going to keep an eye on her and take her to the drop-in surgery first thing.
Will try to get her to drink a bit in the meantime.
Looks like another sleepless night :-(

I know what that's like! Hope you are all OK.

She's at the vets now. After a quick once over they've said she's dehydrated and in pain. They've given her morphine and are going to do an x-ray of her lungs as her breathing is still raspy. Sad

How long was she out for?

Hope she's ok pop, this has happened to my cat a couple times ( frustrating that they can't tell us what hurts ), first time it happened he had some kind of virus ( similar to cat flue ) and after some pain killers and antibiotics he soon recovered, 2nd time he had been attacked by another cat, I couldn't find a mark on him but when vet checked him over she found a hole in his side and a tooth imbedded in his leg Sad, oh and then there was the time he got hit by a car ( we think ) which resulted in him loosing his tail. My cat has cost me a fortune in vets bills Sad. They do look very sad when they are hurt or poorly, hopefully they can find the cause and give pain killers.
