I've had guinea pigs for years but I've been thinking that I'd like to get a couple of rabbits. I know they aren't as cuddly as guinea pigs and don't like being picked up but I'm okay with that.
My question is, are they really that much more work than guinea pigs are? I've been reading about how they're really expensive (more so than guinea pigs) but why is this? I take it a lot of it is due to vet fees - the cost of neutering and the vaccinations which piggies don't need and any further vet costs (but I am planning on getting pet insurance so hopefully it wouldn't be too bad).
Could someone who has rabbits please tell me roughly how much you spend per month on them? And what your daily routine with them is like?
