Our little Lhasa is gorgeous, she is my sisters so lives with her now but was the family dog at a point.
She is 10 now but still looks/acts like a puppy. She is very affectionate, loves a fuss and a cuddle and still likes to have a play with her toys. She likes a walk but now she is older doesn't like to go too far, she tends to have a sit down when she's done and you end up carrying her!
She yaps a little at the door when it's a mystery caller but other than that isn't overly noisy. We keep her regularly groomed/shaved because they are none shedding (which is obv great for those with allergies/if you don't want to hoover constantly) but it does mean their coats can get very long and then there is quite a lot of maintenance involved so it doesn't get matted. Like I say though we just book her in for a regular trim. Health wise she has always been fairly good although she has had some problems with her eye since she was fairly young, her second eyelid occasionally pops out and you can see a little bit of red, which apparently can be a problem with the breed (they are a little bug eyed!) having said that, it has never caused her any bother and the vet has just said to leave it as it wouldn't cause pain or discomfort and is more aesthetic than anything.
She has been nothing but a lovely, sweet and funny dog. Is great with other dogs (she was best friends with my grans giant German shepherd!) and kids. She is not the brightest of dogs but she learnt some tricks and prob could have done more with puppy classes or something.
I would def recommend the breed for temperament, portability and general cuteness!
Sorry, that turned into an epic!
