corn snake shedding - to feed or not?

Second menagerie issue here:

Got a rescue corn snake about a month ago, probably 2-3 years old, just started to shed. It's eyes are properly milky, it's inactive and Not Himself.

I've made a damp hide out of an icecream tub and damp kitchen roll - which he seems to like.

He's due to be fed tomorrow - would you bother offering him a mouse, or assume he'd not bother until he can see a bit better?

Google giving mixed advice. And, I'm reluctant to be left with a defrosted mouse! TIA.

I'd offer, our corn snake is about 6 years old now, and always eats just as he goes dusty/milky eyed. I think it gives him that extra bit of energy he might need.

Must say, I'm a convert to reptiles for pets - happy to be handled for half an hour, happy to be left alone, feeds once a week and poos on command, no smell, no fur, no problem!
