My neighbors cat has been missing for 3 weeks. They have just gone on holiday & he came back today (a bit battered)

They went at the weekend, we came back from a weekend away on Monday. They had left us their keys with a note saying they had given up hope - but I had promised to pop round.

Went round this morning - kicked the cat flap to check they had left it open, just about to leave again & heard a yowling. The poor cate was trying to get in but couldn't. I opened the back door & had to help him in - back legs dragging. He was so emaciated! & desparate for food but we took him to the vets before feeding him.

They think he has poss cracked his pelvis & been stuck somewhere. I can't keep him at our house as we have other cat & large dog. Have had to lock him in their kitchen, find him a bed, leave radio on & make regular visits. He goes back to vets on Thursday to see if recovering as too weak for an Xray just now. It may be that he gets constipated if pelvis heals wrong!

Neighbors are abroad for 2 weeks - hope he is well for their return.

I agree with AllieBongo!

:) Thanks guys

The vet was amazed at how well he had done in getting himself home at all as the Xray showed a very nasty fracture :( He may well be left with a permanent limp as set on it's own, but he's not in pain & even managing to jump on the sofas now! Alos, now being neutered & with a microchip, he should be easier to keep tabs on in future Grin
