we used to have an outdoor but fox ate it. this one was only staying in for a couple of days and a year later hes a fully trained house bunny. uses his tray everytime and has only chewed a couple of wires would really miss him now, but not his fur!

dh used to have a house bunny when he was a kid. He was called Bloody Bunny coz his parents spent most of their life cursing his wire chewing. Can't advise on the fur thing. I've kind of contemplated a house bunny myself since we lost our cats. Are they generally a good idea? Or is the fur too much?

My house bunny has always lived indoors and moults like a little b*er! He is white as well so it shows up EVERYWHERE I deal with it by sweeping up daily and not having cuddles before work His dad is a chincilla rabbit so there is tons of fur as well.

I don't think it is the central heating old&fat (P.S am sure you're not!) as Polar Bear's (my rabbit... long story) dad moults a lot too so I am told

oh I am house buns a a great idea. they are so easy to train and make wonderful pets. we have a french lop, and now that he has been "done" he is just so loving. he has a bad chocolate addiction (like me) and can sniff it a mile off....jumps on top of you and pesters until he gets some.
i do have to sweep up every day....and night but it is worth it. perhaps i will just have to brush him more.

pah! i have to hoover every day, top to bottom, black dog fur on cream carpets from 2 dogs! arrghhh!
(dipstick didnt think of moulting when got 2 'adorable' puppies!)

MerlinsBeard · 29/01/2006 19:38

we have a house bunny that doesn't shed much. hes a lion heaad cross with dwarf lop so maybe that has something to do with it.

he was fully house grained but since we put the xmas tree up he has decided he would rather crap all over not nice witha 10 month old who puts EVERYTHING in his mouth!

I have to add tho that i don't have central heating yet so will wait and see if heating makes him moult more

oldandfat · 29/01/2006 19:43

has he been "done" mumofmonsters? they are rather like teenagers at about 6 months and can become very naughty. as i mentioned ours was dealt with and he is great now. he still like to chew wires though!

no hes not been "done" altho considering it now lol!!!!!! hes about 4 now. sorry i wasn't very clear in other post should've said i have a ds that is 10 months.

oldandfat · 29/01/2006 19:55

worth a try then. costs more than the price of a bunny though! lol
