It cost us £27 to have our cat chipped - she's not worth a fortune but she can't wear a collar and there's no other way of ensuring that she can be indentified if she gets lost.

I am getting it done to our 2 kittens tomorrow but it is being done free as the CPL are paying for it.

However, our vets sent out a flyer about this before Christmas and according to that flyer, it costs £29.99.

hang on sending daughter to ask vet.......

It cost me 20.00 to have my cat chipped, also, because he is chipped and vaccinated, his insurance per month is halfed, he costs about 3.95 a month now, he isn't worth a fortune in monetary value, but he is gorgeous in every other way.

I read it as microwave

DumbledoresGirl · 16/01/2006 21:02

Oh our vet is expensive then, although they were offering £5 off at the time.

20gbp here but only 15 if you're having your pet neutered at the same time. Sadly, being m/cp-ed hasn't helped our little cat to be recovered.

I Can't remember what we paid for our two, but just after our vet friend told us that once a year the RSPCA do a half price offer - advertised in local papers. Ask your vet if your area have anything like this?

Oh just found out that the £29.99 microchip is an all singing all dancing microchip - at least, it is a bio therm one so it can be used to measure the cat's temperature. I opted for the cheaper, bog standard one.

Neutering and chipping two kittens is about to cost me £64 in total.
