URGENT my cat just peed bright red wee...

am freaking out, he is 2 years old, not neutured, and he just peed inside (something he never does and it was bright red.... help....

The vet said I did the right thing bringing him straight away as cats can die from it, a build up of toxins or something, and it can be quite fast too. He said that Nemo was the 3rd cat today he had seen with this problem.

our cat had exactly the same thing recently, he peed in the bath and it was red. vet gave him the same treatment but also told us to stop giving him dried food as it was making him dehydrated (he was on iams), so he's back on stuff in gravy.

our vet said to moisten his dried food with water to make sure he is getting enough.

The vet said that dried food is best but they must drink plenty

Nemo did pee in the cat box on the way over in the car, god it stinks [puke] the vet assistance had to take him out, clean the box for me and clean Nemo up a bit

will do, am so glad that my baby is ok, when the vet said that ct die from it, I thought NO!!!!!! but he said that Nemo is ok, and the injections should help, I have to take him back in a 4 days if he is still ill

Glad he's ok wow 9lbs Otis (my obese cat is 7.6kg) thats what about 17lbs
