Would you contribute to a charity like this? (I’m thinking of setting up one.)

I’m not asking for donations and don’t intend to say what the specifics are, but if you were asked to donate no longer needed baby and child items that would make the life of a baby or child better, would you be willing to? I’m talking about relatively low-cost items like clothing but not giving specific details.
Sorry for being mysterious but I don’t want to fall foul of MN talk guidelines.
I’m just putting the feelers out there to see how viable this might be as I’m retiring and the issue is something close to my heart and that I’ve wanted to do for several years now.
Any thoughts would be welcome.

@NoctuaAtheneno fitting required in the way that I suspect you’re thinking.
No-one would be able to donate lots of the items required, so no need to worry about bulk - the items themselves are small.

@shallishanti, considering that you appear to have no idea of the type of items required, I’m surprised you could come the the ‘Pollyanna’ conclusion! They really would make a massive positive impact on the young ones I’m thinking of.

@CrystalSingerFan, the NHS would have no input other than to possibly allow collection boxes - I only thought of this as it’s a place where parents tend to go.

my Pollyanna story was just an example of what so often happens-
wellmeaning people think, Oh here are lots of Xs that we don't need anymore, surely those poor people over there would want them! They are so useful ! so rather than ask them if they want them we'll just send them over, leaving the poor people over there with a problem
