I do agree with this though:
"We call on media outlets to report truthfully about the sources of violence against women."

This is just a search of the hashtag #Notourcrimes.
Because due to the media reporting guidelines, women are constantly now being told that they are the perpetrators of horrific sex crimes and violence. Only ... they are male people.
Now, some of these that will appear under that hashtag is global. There is no way to narrow it to UK only. However, what is important to note is that when I checked the female sex crime statistics last year, there was an increase over the year on year statistics. Either, female people have suddenly been convicted for horrific sex acts because they have developed more male criminality patterns collectively.
Or. This is the impact of male people in the UK having their crimes recorded as 'female'. Which we know did happen.
We could list many names and we used to have a thread too. But a women's group has taken on the job of reporting these crimes for the UK.

I too want 'media outlets to report truthfully about the sources of violence against women", using clear language to distinguish which perpetrator is male and which is a female person. Using unclear language, such as the wrong sex pronouns, obfuscates which sex the perpetrator is.
And it really shows the deliberate dishonesty in this claim below:
"The real threat remains what it has always been: a culture that enables male violence and then blames everyone except the men who perpetrate it."
Because to the writer / creator of the petition, they seem to be excluding all male people and only focusing on some male people.
And that makes this dishonest too:
"We refuse to be complicit in this misdirection."
On the contrary, whoever wrote this petition wants to continue the misdirection.
But thanks OP. Taking those few minutes that you recommended has been really very helpful. I hope you found it helpful too.
