My husband lost his life. Could I ask for your help?

My husband loved football, I am a Manc and love Man City but he was an avid LCFC suporter. He went all over the place to watch them and started many of chants when he was watching the games. He would often come home with destroyed vocal chords. City was everything to him but he also had a soft spot for my team too 💙

However, I recently lost my husband through a gambling addiction. He was a happy man but was sucked into a hole after being given 'free bets' which ultimately cost him his life. I have made a video that explains more here.

I have set up a petition asking the government to ban 'free bets'. This is where I am asking for your support. Could you sign and possibly share it.

Yes, i had to post this a few times for it to get seen. When people see it, they are so supportive but admin keep moving it. Its such a stress! I don't get why it cabt stay where its getting the signatures? Even just for a day or two. No one was complainimg about my post. 😔

I'm so sorry for your loss. My grandad had a gambling problem for a while and my mum still remembers the hunger as a child. It destroys families. Petition signed

I think MNHQ have a blanket policy that all petitions, no matter how worthy the cause, are moved into Petitions & Activism which is why they’ll keep moving it. Hopefully a few bumps will keep it in Active though.

Gambling has such a corrosive effect on families - I am still confused as to why they are happy to ban advertising for smoking, alcohol and junk food, tax sugar and change planning laws to remove / limit fast food outlets yet gambling is still allowed at a time when many people are not in full control (having a bet while at the pub watching the match).
