School closures - Review options to monitor and mitigate inequalities of impact

Hi,
This petition was inspired by discussions over on the FWR board on how school closures will disproportionately impact women, who we know will take on the bulk of the childcare and home schooling. That impact needs to be offset with additional financial resources for parents and children, and should be closely monitored, particularly the impact on women's ability to work and the impact on children from poorer households.

School closures - Review options to monitor and mitigate inequalities of impact
The Government should consider options for monitoring and ameliorating inequalities stemming from school closures. This should include consideration of the impact on children from deprived households as well as the impact on sex equality of parents taking on home schooling responsibilities.
More details
This petition does not dispute the necessity of school closures, but asks the Government to consider what additional action and resources are needed to mitigate the effects on parents and children, particularly mothers and children from deprived households. We believe it is only through a combination of additional resources and commitments to closely and transparently monitor the impact that we can avoid the further deepening of social inequalities.

why is no one concerned about inequality when schools are open? because it inconveniences parents less? because they can blame other people?
What about all the young people who PREFER online learning, because poorly brought up, badly behaved children can't disrupt their lessons?
Can't help noticing that in my school, it is the parents of the poorly brought up badly behaved children who are shouting "its not fair" loudest, and I suspect that is because they are now the ones trying to live with the consequences of having poorly brought up, badly behaved children, rather than just shoving the problem onto everyone else.
