Following on from this thread
The petition is now being publicised by brake and they will be covering the issue on Friday on the BBC on Crimewatch.
Please please sign and share the petition between now and 23:59 on Wednesday to show support for this.
The man killed in this case in was a friend of a mumsnetters, but sadly so many of us have similar tales to tell.

Petition closed! Amazing result in the end 
I know everyone who signed will get an email once the government responds but I think for Andy's family it doesn't stop there so when there's updates on their campaign I'll keep you posted. It's the least I can do after all your dedication and amazing work keep this in active and helping get it to the total!
