I got a bit of Brexit burnout over the summer, having had 12 months of struggling with the direction UK is headed in. Now we are back to it again, we get an almost daily drip feed of bad news on Brexit, I am ready to fight it again. The new tenner is worth £8.60, car companies are threatening to leave UK, John Lewis profits down and we haven't even Brexited yet.
If, in March 19, we're presented with a shoddy deal and people are regretting their Vote for Brexit, would it not be wise to ask the country again the best way forward to ensure we give our children the future they deserve?
If you agree, please sign and share as widely as you can. This petition is doing well.

Can we sign a petition against drumming up support for remaining. The decision has been made. If it's reversed what then. Another election and another petition. It's crazy.

Ive been lurking on a few threads recently and apparently britain is littered with remain voters who have changed their minds

In fact now i think of it the referendum should be rerun

It would obviously be a clear victory for the leave campaign Grin

To be honest i think the turn out would be really low...

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 15/09/2017 19:31

And as i said earlier

The petition isnt about rerunning the referendum...at all

Niamer · 15/09/2017 19:31

Viviennemary you are free to set up any petition you like, I believe. There are too many concerned people to silence, I believe.

Signed. Brexit is shaping up to be a complete disaster and the people in charge of it have proved themselves to be not up to the task and out of their depth.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 15/09/2017 19:33

I think turnout would be low too. People in general have lost interest.

Viviennemary · 15/09/2017 19:34

But how many is too many. Are you talking about another referendum or just a protest against the way the exit is being handled. I knew from the start the EU would stitch us up and be mean if we tried to leave. They really haven't got the UK's best interests at heart.

I agree

vivienne

Its about letting the country have a say in the final deal

(No idea how it would work...but thats what it says)

Niamer · 15/09/2017 19:42

They really haven't got the UK's best interests at heart

I get the impression they are far more interested in protecting the rights of individual citizens than our own government.

I was just about to post a link to this...

The result was leave, rightly or wrongly we've got to get on with it.
My fear is with every petition and opposition in the commons we are making it harder to get a deal and moving closer to the deadline and the reality of walking away with no deal at all. It's time to trust the negotiators and let them get on with the job of getting the best deal possible.

Deadsouls · 17/09/2017 19:03

I think tbh there will be opposition and stumbling blocks every step of the way.
