Are you sick of clearing up cat poo from your garden? I know I am & I don't even have a cat!

Their mess can cause BLINDNESS in children

Please read, sign & share my friends petition. Thank you

But Lynda, sane people are actually not happy your cat got run over. My ds's best friend was absolutely devastated when their cat got run over and I know how painful it is to lose a pet that you love.

For people like me who detest clearing up the poo that people's cats do in our gardens, it isn't gratifying when people's cats get run over, it just shows that a cat isn't a good choice of pet.

My girl cat has promised faithfully that she has not pooped in your garden, OP. In fact, she'd much rather use the kitchen floor rather than the litter tray she has been provided with, but that's a whole other story.

My boy cat has asked where your garden is, as he's going through an alpha cat stage and is trying to convince me that if he poops just once in your garden, all the other cats will henceforward be too terrified to enter.

Therefore, all you need to do is build a shrine around his offering, get your children to show due respect (Look with your eyes, not your hands!) and it will solve all your problems.

Pinkcan - my garden is also full of other people's cat shit. I put vast amounts of weed barrier fabric underneath the trampoline to try and stop them shitting there so I know how annoying it is.

He is the first car I've ever had run over - the other 5 I've had have lived to at least 18. So they were good pets. The one that got run over was always a bit of a git

I have one question, if answered reasonably I'll sign it and share it along.

How would something like this be enforced?

Dna match their poop?

GinBunny · 17/04/2016 23:51

Unfortunately cats are part of living close to other people. Like neighbours having bonfires/bbqs when you have your laundry out on the line or loud music/dogs barking when you are trying to relax.
I don't have cats, neither do cats poo in my garden because my dogs see them off but you can get something from the pet shop that can deter them - I think that's probably the way forward rather than a petition. Having said that I do believe that pet owners have a responsibility for their pets. My friend's cat has been attacked by a neighbours cat and has a huge vet bill. They saw the fight, it happened in their garden but they have to pay out. But they accept that that's the way it is.

To be fair to the OP, it IS pretty grim to gave a garden full of cat shit when you don't even gave a cat yourself.

However, I know EXACTLY where the main culprits live so I bag up the shit and lob it into the garden of where they live. Simples.

My aim is also getting better with the super soaker. DH said it's unacceptable to put food dye in the water though...GrinConfused

I don't need a petition I have a very good super soaker. Moggies moan and shit elsewhere when they are soaked
