Dog attacked by two men - please sign

There was a sickening attack by two men on a bulldog, this is a link to a petition asking for their convictions to be reviewed. Please sign so that these dangerous individuals get the convictions they deserve.

FYI there is a link in the petition to a video of the attack, yes the twisted fucks filmed themselves, in any case it is absolutely horrific.

Take comfort in your role in this, a similar case was petitioned for a little dog named Chunky who was horribly abused by her "owners" and that has moved on in the most positive way with the support its received .

Fair enough MrsS I can assure you that watching it had me in floods of tears and made me feel physically sick HOWEVER I feel it is important to suffer with the animal. I can't find the right words but that's the general gist.

Oh yes, Chunky went to Downing Street to hand in a petition (he recovered from his ordeal thankfully)

Group of teenagers , 4 teenage boys 15/16 yo. Banned from keeping animals for 5 years. That'll sting . Bastards.

I would think that moving this thread to 'Petitions' will pretty much kill it. You just have to look at each very low number of replies to see how low the traffic is on this topic. I hadn't ever noticed the 'Petitions' topic before this was moved. Had you?

DartmoorDoughnut, if IonaMumsnet doesn't want to do that, perhaps you ought to re-post on AIBU (with a suitably descriptive title) telling people about this incident and then linking them to this thread on the (very low traffic) 'Petitions' page.

I was thanking her because it is a petition so is now in the right place, although I didn't know it existed either!

Hopefully if all who have already posted keep it in Active by posting now and again it will still get traffic.

I asked them to amend the original title to include "Dog/Distressing/Petition/Please Sign" type add on.
They deleted the "Chat" thread which was gaining ground, then whapped it into "Petititions" where it will moulder.
There's a thread in Doghouse but it's not a Topic where most will wander.

I asked them to shift it back into Chat or AIBU where it originally was but so far, nada

No worries Dish I understand your frustration but equally AIBU and Chat are very fast moving so maybe it will have a chance here of staying high up/relevant, I don't like bumping all the time but keeping not this is people's minds is important so needs must!

I've asked them to move it back to Chat (or AIBU) with this new title (it has a decsription so a warning in the title ) because it'll gather dust in Petitions and people can only sign once anyway.
