A gorgeous little boy in my area was diagnosed with krabbe's disease at 6 months old, he's now 11 months old and two days ago went into a hospice.
A petition has been set up and to make a difference 100000 signitures are needed.
Krabbes disease could be screened for during the heel prick test and treated if caught before the symptoms appear. It is currently not screened for in the UK. Neither are over 50 other disorders that could be screened for.
The UK currently screen for 9 disorders. Other European countries screen for up to 29 and American States screen for 31 to 60. The UK is so far behind and our children have and will continue to suffer because of it.
So please please please could you sign the petition so hopefully another family don't have to go through this thanks.
