Clarks shoes sexist signage.

Apologies if this has been mentioned, but I did a search and can't see it anywhere.
Clarks have a terrible message to children on shoes.

I hate Clark's for this, and actually emailed them a few months ago about their signage and the marked divide of pink and glittery" or trainers,with little in between. I'd hotbdd some shoes from the boys section, causing the sales lady much anxiety. They were are very good style - converse/sneaker style, leather, no silly pictures, flat, rubber soles, Velcro strap.

I suggested to Clark's via their website feedback form, that I thought there might be a year-round market for this style of shoe in a few colours. Their reply was very defensive and off hand. I then discovered, that Start Rite do exactly what I was describing! Essentially Doofle trainers in leather.

Agree with pp that the real issue is the shoes being sexist, not the bloody signage.

Thanks! Have never looked at classified before. Also have never had a thread moved so didn't realise it was the same thread . ( Just a bit thick- brain not in operation today!)

The petition now has over 20,000 signatures. I would have expected it to get more interest on MN- or maybe people have just signed without commenting- hopefully that is the case.

I was very disappointed with the response and think the petition needs more support from MNetters.

This is ridiculous! I won't be shopping at Clarks.
