It is clearly 'nob' and not 'knob'

Am worried about my sanity - am getting increasingly upset with people posting knob or knobhead - when clearly they mean nob or nobhead or nobber etc.

It is a nob - not a door knob...

Please tell me it doesn't matter and I should calm down
