I always thought it was "to a T"! No idea why though...

SixtyFootDoll · 28/02/2010 19:41

so it could be
Tea
Tee or T ?

Supposed to be 'T' or tee. something to do with an old english word 'tittle' which sort of morphed into (or means the same as, I forget which) 'detail'.

So if something is 'down to a T' or just 'to a T' it means it's right down to the last detail.

As far as I remember, anyway.

Or rather, correct to the last detail.

This might help
