If you bring something along with you - you have brought it.

Why do people insist on using brought when they mean bought? FFS!!

It's quite a common mix up round here (Buckinghamshire) I tend to say "Really, where did you bring it from?" if I know the person well enough.

never hear it here (edinburgh), i think it's weird.. but i'm sur we have our own regional quirks..

'amn't i?' rather than 'aren't i?' springs to mind - i can never decide if that's scots dialect or just wrong.

I kid you not.

fluffles - afaik 'amn't i' is v common in ireland as it comes from the direct translation of the way questions are phrased in irish and so prob in gaelic too. Er, does that make sense?!
