I have had this issue.

I remember that Advice is the object Advise is the action.

Therefore it is best practice I think(!?)

Tommy · 14/03/2009 11:52

slightlymadscotland is right

it's the same as advice/advise which, for some reason, is easier to remember

KatyMac · 14/03/2009 11:53

Is that because you are doing it?Practising?

Oh hell I never understand this stuff - I'll just write practice & keep my fingers crossed

Best practice is the "object" though.

It is something that you can give to someone (i.e. a document outlining the best prcactice)

KatyMac · 14/03/2009 11:58

Maybe

So can I do Best practise......Umm? maybe not

OP posts:

KatyMac · 14/03/2009 12:15

its a noun s practice

popsycal · 14/03/2009 15:31

c or s
noun or verb
its both in alphabetical orfer

so the noun(n) goes with practice (c)
tghe verb (v) goes with practise (s)

that is how I remember anyway

same with stationary/stationery
also the ones that is envelopes has an e for envelpes in L

JackieNo · 14/03/2009 15:41

Agree with practice. I remember the difference between stationery and stationary by saying that you go to the stationers to buy stationery, not the 'stationars'.
