Oh this has made my day sooooooooooooooo much - I am forever pointing this out to DH in Tesco and lambasting them for such terrible grammar - even my 5 year old now corrects people as a result of our conversations about this.

DH always said I was just barking mad, and nobody cared.

What the devil is wrong with '10 items or fewer' - just use the friggin correct terminology! Argh!
