Confussed

Some how just feels more accurate than plain confused especially if over something really petty or annoying.

Kif. Is kif a word? We used to say it to mean brilliant:

"did you see Duran Duran on TOTP last night, they were well kif"

My Dad made up the word "snar" when I was little, to mean the little bits of broken crisps or cereal at the bottom of the packet. We still use it, and now the DCs use it too. They get all the perfect crisps and pretzels, and leave me and DH the snar.

BasementBear · 09/07/2008 20:38

Oh, and we don't do pumpas, we boof!

Ian Macmillan was on the radio recently inviting new "Yorkshire words". One of the best sent in was "skrettlings", which are the crunchy, tasty bits left over in the pan after you have fried something.

I also think one should be able to be gruntled, and to mantle things.

hobbalub = extremely horrible

just thought i'd leave you guessing for a bit

Report
Fanella · 09/07/2008 20:45

I often roffle as well.

And say 'effeffess' instead of actually swearing.

I remember on Word of Mouth they had a competition to make up a new word. Someone came up with 'Festilities' to describe celebrations taking place on stressful family occasions.
